NYFW - Part 1

6:37:00 PM

NYFW is finally here, and even though I cannot be there personally, I like to keep up with the shows. We are only on day two and so far there are three stories that I have pulled together based on the looks from each designer.

1. RED - the color red is apparent in most of the collections. This bold red is definitely something I see as being a strong trend color for spring 2014.

2. PEEK a BOO - This look is still continuing strong with revealing parts of the body through mesh piecing, lace overlays, or direct cut outs. The textures  add some great interest and make for beautiful works of art.

3. LADYLIKE LENGTHS - Girls, get ready because skirt lengths are coming down. I love the sophisticated look of a longer skirt and the designers have done some amazing work including volume in their spring 2014 collections. Very inspiring and wearable.
