Full Skirt

Top: Zara (old) | Skirt: Express | Heels: Sam & Libby | Jewelry: F21, Marc Jacobs | Clutch: Michael Kors

Beyond obsessed with full skirts. My favorite options come from Tibi (here and here), but I can't afford those price points. I happily stumbled across this much more price friendly option from Express, and only wish that it came in more colors and patterns.

Baby Blues

Sweater: JCrew | Pants: JCrew | Necklace: JCrew Factory | Shoes: Nordstrom

I have been searching for the perfect blue sweater, and the Tippi sweater from JCrew has definitely become my favorite option. It is light weight and incredibly comfortable. Plus, it comes in a wide array of colors. Something for everyone!

Cropped @ Work

Cropped Top: ASTR | Tee: The Limited | Skirt: LOFT | Tights: DKNY | Boots: Steve Madden | Jewelry: Kenneth Cole watch, JewelMint ring | Bag: Steven by Steve Madden

Cropped tops are my usual go to item on the weekend, but not something I would select for work. However, I saw a fashion editorial recently advising fresh outfit ideas for the office, and there was this great pairing of a layered crop top with a simple blouse that inspired me to create my look for today. Love the way it turned out!

Mix + Match

Sweater: Banana Republic | Skirt: Zara | Shoes: Target

It is that time of year when seasonal mix and match apparel becomes necessary to stay comfortable in the ever changing climate. I'm loving the trend of wearing flats with skirts and dresses. Wonderfully casual chic!

Flower Power

Jacket: Old Navy | Top: Tinley Road | Pants: Lauren Conrad | Heels: Taunt

One of the top trends for spring will be floral inspired. I love how a great floral can cleanse the winter palette with fresh and exciting colors.  The March issue of InStyle magazine has a great spread on the floral trend, and you can check out my fashion week post here for runway inspiration.

Floral

Sweater: JCrew | Tank: Joie | Jeans: Gap | Belt: Michael Kors | Jewelry: JewelMint | Boots: Miz Mooz

Just a little taste of spring today with florals and bright green.

Inspiration Station

Since it is still very wintry outside and the JCrew presentation was so inspiring, I thought it was no better time than the present to mimic one of my favorite looks. Obviously their F14 styles are not available yet, so instead I pulled together pieces I already own to re-create.

INSPIRATION

Sweater: H&M | Pants: WAYF | Scarf: White + Warren | Heels: Cosmopolitan

NYFW: JCrew

I am always a JCrew enthusiast and have avidly shopped them for years. The brand's style and attention to detail strikes a chord with me each season, and their F14 presentation continues to inspire me. The bold florals, bright jackets, and chunky scarves are completely amazing. Check out some of my favorite looks from their presentation last week.

NYFW: F14

The much anticipated NYFW:F14 has sadly come to a close. The runways were filled with amazing pieces that have me looking forward to next year. I have pulled together four stories from the runway for inspiration on your next shopping spree. Check it out....

1) FUR BABY - The faux fur (or real fur for some) trend will continue in a big way for Fall 2014. This time around expect to see more color options in addition to mixed prints on coats, dresses, and skirts. When we have winters like this season, your outerwear becomes much of your fashion statement as what is underneath. So why not dress it up and make it fun. (L-R: Carolina Herrera, Diane Von Furstenberg, Nicole Miller, Son Jung Wan, Nicole Miller, Son Jung Wan, Carmen Marc Valvo, BCBG Max Azria, Dennis Basso, Anna Sui)

2) SHEER LADY - The sheer trend also continues into Fall 2014, but this time it has a feminine, sophisticated, yet sexy twist. Check it out...(L-R: David Tlale, Lela Rose, Vivienne Tam, Tadashi Shoji, Angel Sanchez, Ivan Aguilar, Lela Rose, Noon by Noor)

  3) METALLIC FEVER - Neutrals always seem to be the key color palette of any fall season, but maybe the current Olympics have created some inspiration. Expect to see your neutrals glamed up with a mix of metallic in shades of gold, silver and bronze. (L-R: Angel Sanchez, Badgley Mischka, Badgley Mischka, Son Jung Wan, Tory Burch, Diane Von Furstenberg, Desigual, Park Choon Moo, Lela Rose)

 4) CROPPED LAYERS - The fashion runway is taking some inspiration from the past with cropped jackets as a key layering piece. Solids or patterns, this vintage look is a refreshing update to any outfit. (L-R: Adeam, Aron Rose, Badgley Mischka, Trina Turk, Georgine, Pedro del Hierro)
