Monday, Monday

Shirt: H&M (old) | Jeans: Kohl's | Shoes: Nine West | Necklace: Target

Today I definitely had the case of the Mondays. I woke up uninspired this morning and could not decide what to wear. For times like these, it is always good to have key accessories in your closet. The collar necklace is another rising trend. You will see a wide range of options out in the marketplace whether it is more chain detail similar to what I am wearing or a true collar version. It is one of my favorite purchases so far, and it is easy to pile on top of a solid shirt to add interest. And then of course the leopard shoes. I know I have already talked about these in a previous post, but they truly add a spark to any outfit.

Weekend Casual

Shirt: JCrew (old, similar here) | Shorts: jcpenney (old, similar here and here) | Sunglasses: Nordstrom (similar here) | Bag: Steven by Steve Madden (old) | Bracelets: Jewel Mint | Watch: Michael Kors (gifted)

Yet another wonderful weather day here in Texas. I was finally able to pull out my faux leather shorts this season without feeling like I was overheating. Even though we don't get our winter weather here til mid-October, I like to start transitioning as soon as I can. This plaid shirt has more jewel tones to it that remind me of fall. I thought it was a great pairing to the shorts to make my casual day out more put together.

Cooler Weather

Shirt: Zara | Tank: JCrew (old) | Jeans: American Eagle | Love Ring: Jewel Mint | Bracelets: homemade | Watch: Michael Kors (gifted) | Clutch: Nine West (old)

I was so excited to wake up this morning to find the weather had finally cooled off. It was the perfect day to spend time outdoors with my family. My husband and I have two boxers who love going for walks and running around the park. Their curiosity always amazes me! I hope everyone is enjoying their weekend!

FYI: I don't really walk my dogs in heels. :)

Black & Gold

Jacket: Nordstrom (similar here) | Skirt: Urban Outfitters | Shoes: Nine West

Lately I have really been drawn to anything with prints and textures. I especially love mixing prints together. This pleated skirt is a great piece that can be worn all year long. It is extremely comfortable and is offered in an amazing range of colors. The "leopard" shoe is a must-have item for your wardrobe. It can add interest to a classic outfit for work or dress up a casual jeans outfit for a night out. There are several great options in stores right now at various price points.

I don't know about you, but I am so glad it is finally Friday. Hope everyone has a great weekend!

Fashion's Night Out

Tonight was the 4th annual Fashion's Night Out, and I attended an event in Dallas. I stopped by some of my favs: Diane von Furstenberg, Christian Louboutin, and Scoop NYC. There was live music, free champagne, a fashion show, and of course, great people watching. Check out some of my instagram photos!

Red and Printed

Shirt: Zara, Pants: Zara (similar here), Rings: JewelMint, Necklaces: Nordstrom and F21 (old)

Printed pants have really come into focus this year and gain even more importance as we move into fall. These pants were an instant purchase when I saw them on the Zara site. The color and the print give a lot of dimension and they can be dressed up or down depending on the occasion. Will you add prints to your wardrobe this season?

Fall Fever

Zara has become my current obsession as of late. Their fall '12 collection is fresh and full of texture. I can't wait for the temperature to cool down so I can start wearing some of these amazing pieces. Above are a few of my favorites. Hope you like!
