Prabal Gurung for Target

Sweater: Gap | Skirt: Prabal Gurung for Target | Tights: DKNY | Boots: Andiamo | Jewelry: JewelMint, Michael Kors watch | Bag: Steven by Steve Madden

The Prabal Gurung launch at Target is definitely one of my favorite designer collections they have produced thus far. The line is so put together with a mix of black and white with bright pops of color. I love the prints and the wide assortment of shoes. A 100% hit! For today's outfit, I paired one of the skirts with a bright sweater. This skirt is so much fun because it can be dressed up and down. It also has a wonderful fullness to it which I love.

Nail Art

Accessories for an outfit usually revolve around shoes, handbags, jewelry. But people generally forget about the art of the perfect nail polish. Nail art has been a major trend this past year and keeps growing. I love utilizing trends from the runway and incorporating it into a fun nail design. And some brands are giving you great designs and embellishments through the sticker craze. WhoWhatWear did a great piece on nail stickers this week.

I actually have the L'Oreal version mentioned above on my nails this week, which makes this a perfect story. This is the first time that I have tried the L'Oreal version, and I have to say that it isn't my favorite. I've only had the stickers on for a day, and they have already started to peel off. The concept is great because I love the jeweled look, but they definitely need to adhere better.

Now this is not my first foray into nail stickers, I have been an avid fan of the Sally Hansen versions. They are really easy to apply, last for at least two weeks, and have a smart price-point. New artwork is created each season, similar to a new color palette of nail color, but they do keep some of the key basics around season to season. See below for some of my favorites I've tried out. If you're worried about creating your own nail art, these are definitely something you should try out.

70s Vibe

Faux Fur Vest: Sanctuary | Tee: JCrew | Jeans: Citizens of Humanity | Jewelry: Madewell | Bag: Steven by Steve Madden

I was trying to go for a 70s vibe here with the faux fur vest and boot cut jeans. Something on my radar this season is trying to incorporate more flared/boot cut jeans into my looks. I love a good skinny jean, but I am ready to change it up a bit.

Noir

Shirt: Madewell | Pants: Gap | Shoes: Nine West | Clutch: Zara | Jewelry: JewelMint

There is nothing wrong with an all black outfit. I actually think the look is very classic and chic. If you want to add interest, you can always style an all black look with fun shoes and accessories. I mixed together my leopard shoes and this fun skull clutch. And of course, a red lip is an accessory all on its own!

Spring Forward

Skirt: Madewell | Tank: Nordstrom | Cardigan: JCrew (old, similar style) | Shoes: Zara | Jewelry: F21

I'm already ready for Spring to get here. I'm excited about fun color pops for the season and incorporating more floaty skirts into my wardrobe. Luckily our weather has been warmer here, so I don't have to bundle up everyday. And it seems like we are expecting an early spring according to our recent groundhog day forecast.

More Prints

Pants: H&M | Blouse: Gap | Cardigan: Gap | Jewelry: JewelMint, Madewell | Shoes: Cosmopolitan

Continuing with my print moment from yesterday...prints in pants are another staple growing in my closet. You will see prints on trousers and jeans...running from fun florals to dots to Navajo inspired. Printed bottoms are so versatile. You can dress them up and down at your leisure. Even wear the same print head-to-toe as seen here. Be daring!

Print Moment

Blouse: F21 | Coated Jeans: Express | Shoes: Cosmopolitan | Jewelry: JewelMint | Bag: Steven by Steve Madden

Printed blouses are becoming a staple item in my closet lately. I love that we are having a print moment right now, and there are so many great options out there. What caught my attention on this blouse was the fun nautical inspired scarf print mixed with the black/white stripe. I think the two mix really well together and this blouse can be styled a ton of great ways from now through summer.
