It is that time of year again...AWARD SEASON. My favorite thing to watch is the red carpet and admire all the amazing gowns. Last night was the Emmy's (odd for a Monday), and the biggest shock on the carpet was the amount of red.

From the stars to their assistants to the reporters on the carpet, it was a sea of one red gown after another. Check out some of my favorites for their uniqueness in design.

 


The folding, pleating, and boldness of these styles also made them stand out amongst the red.

It is getting closer and closer to true fall, and with that comes plaid and tartan patterns. Started some transition remix by taking a plaid button down dress and transforming it into more of a long vest combination. Style trick...layering dresses over pants can be a easy way to re-purpose clothing year round.

Apparently I gravitate toward lemon-lime colored shorts. What can I say...it is a great summer color. But what I love about these is the jacquard pattern and tapered look.
