Last look from vacation. Bright high waisted sailor shorts and a cropped tube top was the perfect combo for a night out. This actually was the first look I pulled together when packing last week. It embodies my favorite trends for the summer. Beach + sailor short = perfection. :) Now back to real life.

While on a beach vacation, Hawaiian inspired florals and hats are a must for me. Just a great way to get into the vacation spirit at the start of the day.

Second look from my beach getaway. I love all the palm trees and bright florals. Wish I could bring some of that back home with me. :)
Cut out/bare shoulder tops are the perfect combo for hot summer days. Adds a little elegance to your basic tank.

Happy Sunday! I'm finally back from my beach getaway, and it was a great time surfing the waves and visiting with family. We spent our days at different beaches throughout the area and our nights hanging out at local restaurants and my Uncle and Aunt's amazing tiki hut they created in their backyard. All the bright colors and beach side themes and textures were inspirational for the perfect summer looks.

Happy Friday! Getting ready for my beach adventure so felt bohemian today in long soft layers to get me in the easy carefree mood. Soft separates are on an upswing, and I love combining different pieces together. Perfect to keep you cool in summer with light weight fabrics.
I'll be offline for the next week, but I plan to have lots of beach pictures to share when I return. Or check out my instagram (abbycec) for fun photos throughout the week. :)
I wish I had more opportunities to layer in the summer, but unfortunately it can be bloody hot in Texas. Silver lining...thunderstorms that provide a little relief. Trying some new pairings today to spice up my shortalls. I like the idea of layering a casual jacket or soft blazer to make it less "country" as my husband likes to call the overall trend. Though I am pretty sure today's look might be lumberjack adjacent. Still love it. :)

Just another fun floral maxi today. I've had this one for awhile, but it took me some time to find good undergarments since it is basically sheer. (You can't tell from the photos). So I took inspiration from the celeb circuit and added high waisted retro shorts to provide coverage. Not too shabby.
Lace, sheer piecing, delightful flats, white nails, clutch details, soft lips. Just a few things on my wardrobe wish list at the moment. Over anything else, I am obsessed with these Tory Burch flats. Something for all occasions.
A fashionista who loves family, friends, and of course the art of clothing. I enjoy reading, dancing, DIY projects, and spending time with my husband and our two beautiful boxer dogs. Life takes you on a crazy journey...here you can experience a little bit of mine.
