Labels to Love: 424 Fifth

I recently discovered a label called 424 Fifth, and I instantly fell in love with the looks they created. It has a great mix of edge and sophistication. With different pairings, you can have a look for work, Saturday brunch with the girls, a special event or even just a fun night out. Check out some of my favorites...

Bright

Tank: BCBGeneration | Skirt: 424 Fifth | Sandals: GoJane | Jewelry: JCrew, Madewell

Must have full skirt...check! In my favorite shade for the season...double check! Full skirts seem like they should be a dressy only option, but I love mixing it down with a casual tank and sandals. It is comfortable and looks like I made an effort on my lazy weekend. :)

Lace Details

Top: Kimchi Blue (similar here and here) | Shorts: Martin + Osa (old) | Sandals: GoJane

Warm weather is finally here! Sweaters can be put back into their boxes (maybe) and shorts make a much anticipated appearance. Since it was such a wonderful day, my husband and I spent the afternoon creating some landscaping in the back yard. The gardenia is my favorite flower, so we purchased a few bushes and planted them into our newly created flower bed. Finally something I can check off my house to do list. :)

Vested

Vest: 424 Fifth | Tank: Target (old) | Coated Jeans: Express (old) | Heels: GoJane | Jewelry: Nasty Gal (old)

My key layering piece for spring will be this tailored vest. I love that it is big and boxy, and it will pair perfectly with shorts, dresses, and pants.

Citrus

Top: Banana Republic | Pants: Banana Republic | Jewelry: Madewell | Bag: Steven by Steve Madden | Heels: Sam & Libby

Orchid purple might be the designated Pantone color of the season, but I have decided that citrus yellow will be my color of the season instead. I love the brightness and how cheerful it makes me feel when wearing it. Such a great spring/summer shade!

Reading Corner: Hannah Swensen Murder Mystery Series

Books: Hannah Swensen Murder Mystery Series
Author: Joanne Fluke
Rating: 3 out of 5

Beach season is just around the corner. If you are looking for something easy and fun to read, then this series is definitely something you should check out. Murder mystery mixed with tantalizing recipes....what is not to like? The series follows bakery owner Hannah Swensen as she gets tangled into different murders and helps solve the cases. There are several books in the series. I am currently on number 4 and have already stocked up on a few so I can keep up with Hannah's story. These books are fast reads and very entertaining. Happy reading!

Total Leather

Blouse: F21 | Faux Leather Tee: ASTR | Coated Jeans: Express | Shoes: Target | Jewelry: JewelMint, Marc Jacobs bow ring, Kenneth Cole watch | Bag: Steven by Steve Madden

Happy Friday!

I'm definitely the type of person who dresses based on how they are feeling. When I feel fun and flirty, you can usually find me in a dress or flippy skirt. When I am tired, I tend to pick slouchy, comfortable pieces that you can fold yourself into. And then there are days like today where you feel like you need an extra coat of armor to get through the day. Hello head-to-toe "leather"! So glad the weekend is finally here even though it is supposed to rain. I've stocked up on some recent blockbusters to keep me entertained. Dallas Buyers Club anyone?

Panama

Tee: Gap (old) | Pants: JCrew | Hat: JCrew Factory | Shoes: ShoeMint

The Panama hat is going to be my must have accessory for the spring/summer. It provides great coverage from the sun and is super fun to wear. Pool season, I am ready for you! :)
